Yash's Toxic Sells Over 84,000 Tickets in Advance Booking, Karnataka Leads

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Yash's much-anticipated action drama, has opened advance bookings across India and is off to a strong start. The Geetu Mohandas film sold around 85,000 tickets within the first few hours of advance bookings.

According to reports, Toxic has sold 84,915 tickets in India so far for Day 1, generating Rs 4.10 crore from 4,886 shows. The figures do not include blocked seats. When blocked tickets are taken into account, the advance-booking gross rises to Rs 9.19 crore. The Yash-starrer is expected to significantly increase its pre-sales with five days remaining before its release.

Karnataka Leads Toxic Advance Bookings

Yash's home state of Karnataka is leading the advance bookings, as expected. Toxic has recorded an actual occupancy of 25% across 754 shows, generating Rs 3.07 crore in advance bookings in Karnataka. Sacnilk reports that 129 shows are filling up quickly, while 152 shows are already nearly packed.

Bengaluru alone has contributed Rs 2.24 crore from 549 shows, of which 108 are in high demand and 75 are nearly sold out.

Strong occupancy rates are also being recorded in other Karnataka centres. There is significant demand outside the state capital, with occupancy rates of 66% in Mysuru, 83% in Tumakuru, 66% in Shivamogga and 60% in Hubballi.
