After suffering a hip injury while filming her upcoming movie Mysaa, Rashmika Mandanna took a short break from work. Rashmika has now stated that she will soon return to work, about a month after discussing her injuries.
Rashmika posted pictures of the time she spent at home with her loved ones while recovering from her injuries in her latest Instagram post. She can be seen doing puja, playing with her dog, completing picture puzzles, relaxing while admiring her garden and engaging in several other activities. In the photo and video carousel, Rashmika stated that she will miss this time at home even after returning to work.
She captioned the post,
“I am getting back to work soon and I am definitely going to miss all of this!”
Rashmika reveals details of third injury
While reports of Rashmika getting injured on set surfaced in July, the actor took to Instagram on August 3 to share an update about her health. She apologised for being away from social media and revealed that the injury was her third consecutive injury. She said she needed to learn to treat her body like a human body rather than a machine.
Explaining her injury, Rashmika said that one of the four tendons on the right side of her hip, which connects the hip to the leg, had detached. She explained that the tendon needed to reattach for her to be able to lift her leg properly. She added that the injury occurred during a dance shoot for Mysaa.
Calling Mysaa “the most aggressive film” she has ever done, she wrote:
“Don’t worry.. it hurts but it’s not unbearable or something.. so ya that’s that.. and I feel like this is god saying you’ll never take a break if it’s left to you so here.. let me do it for you! You know all these injuries I’ve had is random af - freak accidents what are the odds.”
Rashmika’s upcoming films
Rashmika had been juggling a few films before her injuries. Mysaa and Ranabaali are in the works. The Gond tribes serve as the backdrop for the action thriller Mysaa. In contrast to her other roles, Rashmika plays the lead role of a Gond woman and a daring heroine.
She also stars alongside Vijay Deverakonda in Ranabaali. Rahul Sankrityan is the film's director. The Telugu period drama, which is set during the British Raj, tells a fictional story inspired by lesser-known periods of Indian history. The movie is scheduled to release on September 11.
