Kangana Ranaut's long-running quarrel with Hrithik Roshan has unexpectedly returned to the spotlight due to the recent political turmoil surrounding her, sparking a barrage of memes and social media criticism.

In response to one such widely shared post, Roshan has now distanced himself from the story and stated that any judgment should be based on facts rather than shifting public opinion.

Hrithik reacts to viral 'apology' post

The actor left a remark on Freddy Birdy's Instagram post, which said,

"The world owes an apology to Hrithik Roshan." Many social media users said that recent events had vindicated the actor, and the message was widely interpreted as a reference to Hrithik's years-long public spat with Kangana.

Hrithik clarified, however, that he disagreed with people picking sides only because public opinion had changed.

"My friend, supporting 'A' simply because you no longer like 'B' is a small aspect of the greater structural problem afflicting our society. I'll hold off until the situation is appropriate and supported by facts. That would be reasonable. However, who really cares anymore?"

The online chatter resurfaced following Kangana's recent discussion about student protests and politics with Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das.

Kangana calls protest videos 'puke-inducing'

Videos of student-led protests were criticized by the actress, who called them "puke-inducing." After Das criticized her comments, she went after him, claiming that she had Googled him and discovered that he was 28 years old. "I have no idea how he claims to be a student," she wrote.

In response, Das clarified that he had never claimed to be a student and joked that Google had even miscalculated his age.

Das joked in a later interview that some of his friends thought Kangana had singled him out because he looked like a young Hrithik Roshan.

"You look like a young Hrithik Roshan,' my buddies said. Maybe that's why Kangana is attacking you," Das laughed and continued.

Internet backs Hrithik amid fresh row

Social media users swiftly reacted favourably to the comment, bringing back memes about the long-running conflict between Hrithik and Kangana. After years of public accusations, many said the actor had finally been "vindicated."

As the memes gained popularity, social media users accused Hrithik of liking an Instagram meme that made fun of Kangana, which led to another viral accusation.

How the Hrithik-Kangana controversy began?

Since 2016, Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have been involved in one of Bollywood's most well-known public conflicts. The uproar started when Kangana called Hrithik her "silly ex" in an interview, suggesting that the two had previously dated.

Hrithik issued a legal notice to the actor requesting an apology and refuted the allegation. Later, the disagreement turned into accusations and denials, with Kangana insisting that they had a romantic relationship while Hrithik continuously denied ever having one.
