Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced that the Linepar area of Moradabad will be renamed after former Congress MLA and Ram Temple movement leader Dau Dayal Khanna.

The announcement was made during the Chief Minister’s visit to Moradabad, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 63 development projects worth over ₹365 crore. These included the inauguration of 26 projects worth ₹136.15 crore, such as a War Memorial, Shri Ram Vatika, and a sports park, along with the foundation laying of 37 projects worth ₹229.35 crore.

Recalling Khanna’s contribution, the Chief Minister said that his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, was the president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya Samiti, formed in 1983, while Khanna served as the committee’s general secretary throughout the movement.

CM Yogi said,

“Dau Dayal Khanna dedicated his entire life to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The government is taking this decision to honour his contribution."

Uttar Pradesh no longer witnesses riots

Addressing the public gathering, CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh no longer witnesses riots or large scale disturbances. Referring to the Kundarki Assembly by-election, he said,

“You saw the results in Kundarki. I thank the people of Kundarki for defeating Turk and proving that the era of Babar will no longer prevail, Ram Rajya will. The Samajwadi Party has a Babri mindset, and such a mindset has always been destructive. It is this mindset that interferes with the existence of the Harihar Temple in Sambhal.”

CM Yogi said that those with destructive intentions towards India’s culture must be stopped. "Today, Uttar Pradesh is moving forward with the slogan ‘No curfew, no riots… everything is fine in UP.’ Those with a nationalist mindset are with us, while those with a destructive mindset will meet the same fate as Maricha and Subahu.

That is why we have adopted a zero tolerance policy. Anyone who harasses women, kidnaps traders, or deprives farmers of their rights should decide for themselves where they want to end up,” he said.

Targets Akhilesh Yadav

Taking a swipe at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, CM Yogi said,

“Your father’s government had fired bullets at Ram devotees. Today’s Ayodhya reminds people of the Treta Yuga. Now it is the turn of Banke Bihari and Lord Krishna. Come out of appeasement politics, give up vote bank politics, and speak openly about Mathura-Vrindavan and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. We will take care of Mathura and Vrindavan, but the public also wants to know your stand on Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Only then will people believe your intentions.”

He further said that the Samajwadi Party had lost its political momentum.

CM Yogi said that the public knows that the Samajwadi Party’s bicycle has now been punctured. Its political journey has come to an end. When the game is over, there are no future prospects left. Therefore, taking the name of Lord Ram is the only path left. If not in this life, then perhaps in the next. Looking at the party’s recent statements, it appears that its leadership has either gained some wisdom or is once again trying to mislead the public.

Akhilesh Too Will Chant Ram’s Name: CM Yogi

Mocking Akhilesh Yadav’s recent remarks, CM Yogi said,

“He says that if his party forms the government, it will beautify Ayodhya. But Ayodhya has already been transformed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s double engine government. Your help is no longer required.

Still, I thank you for finally accepting Ayodhya. This is our ideological victory. Sooner or later, you too will be seen chanting Lord Ram’s name and will repent for the mistakes committed by your governments, when Ram devotees were fired upon and those chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were lathi charged. One day, you will publicly express remorse for those actions.”
