Abhijeet Dipke, who is the leader of the Cockroach Janta Party, has been invited to join the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. In an interview on Monday, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale had stated that Dipke, who is a young and active leader, needs to join his party, the Republican Party of India (A). This would help carry out the dream of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The activist has created his own following through his own movement despite the apathy of the government. Dipke has not reacted to this suggestion as of now.
The Athawales' Offer and Its Implications
The Athawale government held a press conference with respect to Dipke. According to Athawale, Dipke is an active Ambedkarite and must join the Republican Party of India (A). The party is among the political parties that form the ruling alliance at the Centre. Athawale government assured the public that it would punish all those who engage in misconduct. This move by the Athawale government is believed to be aimed at punishing the participants of the protest organized by CJP at Jantar Mantar. The reason for the protest was the paper leak of the UG 2026 exam. As a result of the protest, Dharmendra Pradhan had to resign as the Union Education Minister.
Views of Dipkes and His Latest Campaign
Dipkes had previously stated that there has been a loss of faith in political parties, elections, and even the judiciary. Dipkes feels that there should be a movement among the citizens in the nation. Recently, while speaking to ANI, Dipkes spoke about how political parties were being weakened through agencies such as the ED and CBI. He also spoke of the deletion of votes during the elections. This comes at a time when the 30-year-old has just launched a School Thik Karo campaign in his village in Hingoli, Maharashtra. He has asked the authorities to make improvements in government schools and also set a cap on school fees.
