Story of Draupadi Murmu

Draupadi Murmu is the 15th and current President of India, and the first tribal woman to hold the highest office. Born on June 20, 1958, into a modest Santali family in Odisha. Her father Biranchi Narayan Tudu was a farmer.

Murmu began her career as a teacher. She later entered politics, serving as a two-time MLA from Rairangpur, a minister in the Odisha government, and the first woman Governor of Jharkhand.

Even though she had multiple family tragedies during her political career, her life continues to serve as an inspiring example of hardship, simplicity, and the empowerment of the poor.
