Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak issue. In a video posted on X, Dipke said that if the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign by June 13, he will personally travel to different cities and states to lead protests.
He further stated that if the minister still refuses to step down, students from across the country will once again gather in Delhi and hold peaceful demonstrations.
Abhijeet Dipke said,
I congratulate each one of you for the historic gathering at Jantar Mantar. It was a peaceful and democratic protest.
If Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, I will travel to every state and city to lead protests or we will once again come to Delhi and protest. We will not stop until he resigns.
He urged the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign, saying that the futures of many students have been destroyed because of him.
Earlier protest at Jantar Mantar
CJP had earlier organised a protest at Jantar Mantar on June 6, demanding the resignation of the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid concerns over the paper leak.
Dipke had travelled from the United States to participate in the June 6 protest. On Sunday, he returned to his hometown of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra.
According to sources, Dipke said that for the past 10–12 years, Indian politics has largely revolved around religion and Hindu-Muslim issues, which, according to him, do not provide employment opportunities for the youth.
How did the CJP start?
The Cockroach Janta Party started as a satirical online movement after remarks made by Chief Justice Surya Kant during a hearing.
Chief Justice Kant compared a section of young, unemployed youth with “fake law degrees” to cockroaches. The comment sparked online discussions and eventually inspired the formation of the ‘satirical political movement’.
The movement has also received support from several public figures, including social activist Sonam Wangchuk and actor Prakash Raj.
