The RJD leader, Lalu Prasad Yadav, has made a call for a mass movement towards the Lok Bhavan in Patna on August 19 because the Bihar government adopted a "dictatorial attitude," which uses bullets from the AK-47 gun to meet the demands of the students who democratically raised their voices. The movement, which is supposed to be attended by leaders and workers of the Mahagathbandhan coalition, is being arranged in reaction to the allegation of the firing of AK-47 guns on student protestors in the Siwan district some time ago. Prasad used the X platform to criticize the state government, which is considered arrogant and based on corruption.

March to Lok Bhavan Protest

According to party leaders, the Mahagathbandhan delegation will deliver a memo to the governor of Bihar during their march because of apprehensions about the Siwan incident. RJD's national working president Tejashwi Yadav had already said in Patna to media persons that just suspending one police constable will not work in this case, but strong measures must be taken against the superior officer who gave the order to fire on the protesters.

Siwan Firing Case Clarification

Everything originated from a video which appeared on the internet showing a constable firing shots from an AK-47 gun during a student protest on July 25. It should be noted that this student protest was linked to Bihar Bandh as it occurred due to the paper leak problem. According to the police, no one was injured, and an investigation is being conducted; additionally, the police clarified that the officers were ordered not to fire any shots. In some places, such as Patna, Saran, and Bhojpur, the Bihar Bandh got out of control. In other places, it did not cause any trouble. Thus, the Siwan Firing Case is still a burning issue due to the aforementioned student protest and Bihar Bandh over the NEET paper leak case.
