There is a large protest scheduled in relation to Karnataka, which is to take place on Thursday, August 13. It is being organized by some concerned groups who are interested in Karnataka. They are upset about the decision of the Cauvery Water Management Authority, which stated that Karnataka had to supply 12,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu daily for 15 days. The protest is arranged by Vatal Nagaraj and some other organizations that are backing Karnataka. It seems that Bengaluru, which is the capital of Karnataka, would not be seriously affected by this protest, since some important facilities and transport authorities have decided not to take part in it. Even though they are not going to participate in the protest, they approve its cause.
Things That Will Remain Operational
The city transport system comprising BMTC buses as well as Namma Metro is likely to continue running as per their schedule. The auto and taxi drivers' unions such as the Adarsha Auto and Taxi Drivers Union are planning to remain operational but will participate in the protest in principle. In addition, schools and colleges, hospitals, banks, and government offices are bound to remain operational because no industry has been ordered to shut down operations for mandatory participation in the protest march.
Shops and Hotels May Face Challenges
Commercial establishments like shops, markets, and eateries will probably face problems. Trade unions and hotel chains have been requested to shut down for the day. Owners of hotels in Bengaluru and Mysuru have specifically been instructed by Vatal Nagaraj to shut down their establishments. Private bus companies operating interstate services to Tamil Nadu may face trouble as well. The closure is expected to vary from one region to another in the state.
