A 20-year-old boy named Zaid was brutally murdered after his motorcycle collided with a car in the Loni Border area on June 29.

According to the victim's family, their home was facing a water shortage due to regular power outages. Zaid went for a swim on a motorcycle with his two friends, aged 15 and 16. Their motorcycle collided with a car while they were crossing the Behta Puliya crossing.

Motorcycle Collision Turns Fatal

Zaid got into a fight with the car's occupants, who were identified as real estate entrepreneur Rahul Mavi and an associate. They allegedly dragged him into their vehicle and drove him to Manish Properties, a local real estate firm. After taking Zaid to the office, Rahul and his associate allegedly brutally beat him, due to which he died.

Zaid's father, Shaukat, said,

"Was a scratch so huge that someone had to be killed? Nobody kills another person, even if the car is completely destroyed."

On Wednesday, people gathered outside Zaid's home in Ghaziabad.

Zaid's mother, Shakeela, claimed that the car's occupants got out and slapped all three boys.

"His friends informed me that they pulled my son into the car, took the bike keys, and instructed the boys to follow them. They reached the accused's office after running for almost twenty minutes," she added.

According to Zaid's aunt, the suspects cut the motorcycle's fuel pipe and threatened to beat the boys if they reported the incident to the authorities. She claimed,

"The friends somehow loaded my unconscious nephew onto the bike and brought him back home."

Accused Recounts Incident to Police

According to the police, accused, Rahul, stated that he and his associate, Anuja Kasana, were driving a Baleno car back to their workplace, Manish Properties, after purchasing fruits at the Loni T-junction. He also claimed that Zaid, who was riding a bike, collided with the car near the Indraprastha Gas Plant intersection on the road towards Behta Canal.

According to the accused, they took Zaid to the office and asked him to pay for the damage to the car, but he refused. The police said they assaulted him until he lost consciousness. They later received information that Zaid had died while undergoing treatment.

FIR Registered Under BNS

Officials said that a murder and assault case has been registered under Sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Loni Border police station on Monday night, following a complaint filed by the victim's brother.

According to a police officer,

"One accused has been taken into custody. Teams have been formed to apprehend the others."
