Protein is the latest fad among the people of India. Whether it is protein shake, Greek yogurt, or protein bars, people are more conscious than ever about their food. However, even after being more aware, there is a lot of confusion as well.

According to a recent report named "India's Protein Paradox," published by PulseAI Research, it has been found that almost 50% of Indians have started including protein in all meals. It has also been reported that 41% of Indian consumers keep track of their protein consumption while close to 50% of  people read food labels before purchasing.

However, the most important finding comes as a surprise: 93% of those who deliberately track their protein consumption remain unsure about protein-related knowledge. Many people are confused about the exact quantity of proteins they need, their natural sources, or whether high-protein packaged products really fulfill their promises.

These results imply that despite the wide dissemination of protein awareness in society, the level of nutritional literacy remains relatively low. People are getting more conscious about their diets, but the spread of misinformation, conflicting opinions on social networks, and obscure food packaging keep confusing them.

According to professionals, today, it is necessary to move from the promotion of proteins to increasing knowledge about them because it is equally important to be able to make smart food decisions.
