To facilitate parking and movement for delegates and guests attending the Independence Day celebrations, the Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday issued a statement announcing that seven parking locations near the Red Fort have been digitised.
According to the statement released by the traffic police, the initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with Google Maps and Mappls, using technology to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of vehicles at the venue.
Digital Parking Spots Near Red Fort
As per the statement, Google Maps has digitised the seven parking spots, while Mappls has created QR codes for all the locations. The initiative will help people directly navigate to their designated parking spots.
The advisory states that traffic restrictions will be in place between 4 am and 10 am on August 15. Commuters travelling through the Red Fort area are advised to use alternative routes during this period.
Plan Ahead for Independence Day Traffic
On Independence Day, travellers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow sufficient time to reach their destinations, as the celebrations are expected to affect traffic movement around the Red Fort and surrounding areas.
