Bihar is looking to attract major technology investments, and Google may be one of the companies on its radar. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has invited Google India to explore opportunities in the state, saying Bihar is ready to play a bigger role in India’s growing digital economy.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended an invitation to Google India leadership to create a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bihar as part of the Bihar GCC Policy 2026. 

In order to accelerate Bihar's digital growth, both parties indicated their commitment to work toward a solid collaboration.

The Chief Minister posted information on social media site X, 

A high-level delegation led by Google India Vice President Shri Chandu Thota met me at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi. We had in-depth conversations on potential collaboration in the domains of technology, education, healthcare, and agriculture. Google was asked to create a Global Capability Center in Bihar as part of the Bihar GCC Policy 2026 at the conference.

 

The two parties also had in-depth discussions about possible cooperation in the areas of healthcare, education, and agriculture, with an emphasis on strengthening Bihar's key industries through digital transformation.

The meeting is viewed as a major step in increasing the use of contemporary technology to enhance the educational system, provide access to healthcare services, and foster technical innovation in agriculture.
