Anup Soni, who hosted the popular crime show for several years, has officially been replaced by Ajay Devgn. Devgn is now the new host of Crime Patrol. The actor confirmed this news by sharing a promo on Instagram.
In the trailer Devgn can be heard saying,
“They teach us in childhood to beware of strangers, to lock the house at night. However, a lot of the time, the offender is someone you know. They are sitting at your dining table, have your keys, and know your address. This time on Crime Patrol, we’ll bring you cases that have shocked the nation. This is to alert you to the situation, not to frighten you. I’ll be with you this time.”
Rajesh Tailang joins Crime Patrol
Actor Rajesh Tailang has reportedly been brought on board to host additional episodes of the upcoming season of Crime Patrol alongside Ajay Devgn. However, it has not yet been decided how many episodes Tailang will host.
The move is reportedly aimed at retaining the show’s established audience while adding a new chapter to the popular crime franchise.
Anup Soni remains one of the most recognisable faces associated with Crime Patrol. The actor became synonymous with the show after hosting it for several years.
Ajay Devgn’s association with Crime Patrol marks his television hosting debut and comes after his numerous on-screen roles as law enforcement officials and police officers.
