'Sonakshi Always Refused': Shatrughan Sinha Opens Up About Daughter's Political Stance

Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament and Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha spoke about Sonakshi Sinha’s stance on entering politics. 

He said,

“Sonakshi has no interest in politics. Many people asked her to enter politics, but she always refused. They even urged me to ask her to join politics for the betterment of the party. But she always declined.”

When asked in a recent interview whether his sons Luv and Kush were interested in politics, Shatrughan Sinha said that Luv appears to have some interest in politics. He revealed that Kush often attends meetings with sons of BJP leaders, but is also passionate about filmmaking.

Shatrughan Sinha shared his children’s remarks. He said, 

“When the TMC was going through a difficult phase and many leaders were leaving the party to join rebel groups, my children told me that they were proud of me because I remained loyal to the party.” 

He further added that he would never leave party leader Mamata Banerjee during such difficult times.

Expressing his emotions, Sinha said that when Sonakshi told him, “Everyone left, but you stayed. That is what matters,” he felt proud, reassured, and emotional about his decision.
