Salman Khan on CJP's NEET-UG Protest: 'Credit Should Go to the Students', Calls for Stronger Education System

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)'s student protest against the alleged NEET-UG paper leak has now received support from actor Salman Khan. The actor, one of the biggest celebrities to speak on the issue, praised the students for coming together to demand a better education system and said the government should pay attention to their concerns.

Salman shared a post on social media late Wednesday, writing, 

"It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them."

He further wrote,

I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.”

'Don't Politicise the Students' Movement,' Says Salman

Calling the issue a fight between students and the education system, Salman said it should not be politicised and that the credit for the movement belongs entirely to the students. He expressed confidence that the government would support efforts to strengthen the education system, calling it a win-win situation. 

The actor also said education should become the next trend and grow more popular every year, adding that India should aspire to become a global education hub where students from around the world come to study.

However, some of Bollywood's biggest names, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt, have not issued any statements supporting the protest.
