Sandhya Suraj Gaikwad, a girl hailing from the Wadwani village of Beed district in Maharashtra state, is caught in the grip of a serious medical blunder. The doctors allegedly left some gloves and paper within her abdomen during the delivery of her child via section. On August 1, Sandhya went to Beed District Hospital to give birth through caesarean section. The C-Section was performed on her that night. But after the procedure, she started experiencing serious pains in her abdomen. In addition to the complications caused by the operation, Sandhya's health deteriorated so seriously that her family decided to take her to the hospital. The doctors of the hospital conducted a scan on her, which revealed that there were foreign objects inside her body. This news infuriated her family, who visited the district hospital administration and lodged an official complaint on Tuesday. Thereby, the Beed District Hospital made a blunder during the Caesarean section of Sandhya Suraj Gaikwad. The caesarean section operation, intended to help Sandhya give birth, brought her nothing but trouble.
Objects Discovered during Private Hospital Scan
It was revealed through the scan conducted at the private hospital that what the family had suspected all along was true. The gloves and paper were said to have been left inside the body of Gaikwads during the surgery procedure. As soon as the report of this problem was received by the Deputy Director of Health Services, an investigation committee was constituted. The committee reached Beed District Hospital on Wednesday afternoon and began questioning the hospital staff.
Doctor Issued Show-Cause Notice, OT Team Under Scanner
Dr. Satishkumar Solanke, the civil surgeon, believes that it’s a case of bargaining. It seems to be a very serious matter, and hence he has issued a show-cause notice to the officer who conducted the operation. The show-cause notice asks the doctor to give a reason as to why he shouldn’t face any repercussions. The OT team has also been put under scrutiny. It’s the intention of the authorities to check who else was involved in making a mistake.
