Amid the ongoing protest by the INDIA Bloc on Tuesday demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation, the BJP shared a video statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its official X account.
PM Modi can be seen saying that the moment Congress hears the word “reform”, it grabs a placard of opposition and comes running.
“Whether it’s One Nation, One Election, the SIR, reforms in the Waqf Board, or CAA, Congress has opposed every major reform. The country wants to move forward, but Congress stands in the way of every change with opposition, confusion, and vote-bank politics,” PM Modi said.
INDIA Bloc MPs March To Election Commission
The pre-announced INDIA Bloc MPs’ protest march to the Election Commission against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar began on Tuesday.
According to CPI (Communist Party of India) MP P. Santosh Kumar, the march started around 10:30 am from Makar Dwar towards the Chief Election Commissioner’s office.
According to reports, more than 150 MPs, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, joined the protest. The march was later stopped by security personnel near the NITI Aayog office.
