In order to accommodate out-of-town officials travelling to Delhi for a variety of tasks, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a tender to empanel hotels. The hotels must be located within five kilometres of NTA's new Central Delhi office on Minto Road, according to the agency's specifications.

The exam body stated in the tender released on Thursday that,

“NTA requires a panel of hotels in the vicinity of the new office for accommodation of outstation officials, examination observers/City Coordinators, Governing Body/Committee members, resource persons, and other official visitors, on an as-and-when-required basis.”

NTA Shifts Office To Minto Road

NTA has moved from its previous location in Okhla to the Government of India Press building on Minto Road. According to NTA, the empanelled hotels will accommodate NTA officials and visitors on a room-only or room-with-breakfast basis, as booked, at the agreed-upon rates.

“Bookings must be made directly with the empanelled hotel or hotels by NTA's Administration/Con-Ops Division, indicating the necessary dates, number of rooms, and category. Bookings shall be placed purely on the basis of actual requirement, availability, and suitability; there is no minimum guaranteed business committed to any empanelled hotel,” the NTA said in the tender notice.

Additionally, according to NTA, empanelled hotels may be required to provide amenities such as conference and meeting spaces and transportation from the airport or railway station upon request and at mutually agreed-upon additional costs.

Hotels Must Meet NTA’s Eligibility Criteria For Empanelment

It said that hotels must have at least 20 rooms available for empanelment and be rated three stars or above. In addition to other necessary civic permissions, the hotels need to obtain a fire safety clearance, an FSSAI licence, and GST registration.

The organisation also administers all-India competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE Main and others. It has invited academics, scientists, researchers and others to express interest in joining a three-year panel of Subject Matter Experts for question paper setting, translation, vetting, moderation, answer key verification, curriculum mapping, research, psychometric validation and other confidential academic assignments.
