Nine-Page Letter Stirs Speculation Over Champat Rai's Comeback Ahead Of Ram Temple Trust's CEO Selection

A nine-page letter outlining in minute detail the movement for Ram Janmabhoomi, the legal wrangles, the formation of the trust following the verdict of the Supreme Court, and the construction of the temple at Ayodhya has stirred some commotion ahead of the upcoming meeting on September 3 of the trust, which is set to select its CEO in the backdrop of the donation scandal. While the letter has not been released to the public, there are several people who feel the letter was penned by Champat Rai, who resigned from his post as secretary of the Trust after the donation fraud case.

A letter has ignited conversations about Rai's return.

It seems that the Special Investigation Team is not taking Rai into account for the matter, as there has been much talk in the Trust and in Ayodhya about people who can see into the future. The letter talks of Nripendra Misra, who was the chairman of the temple's construction committee. It says that all the major decisions were taken after getting his permission. The letter states that Misra had brought people whom he knew well, and one of them visited Ayodhya on several occasions within six years.

Misra responded to the reports. Misra stated that he neither got nor saw any letter. Misra ruled out the allegations about the conflict between him and the Trust. Moreover, Misra stated that even if there were such a letter, he would not blame anybody. Misra accused some people of creating controversies. In the meantime, the Trust is selecting three names for the CEO position. The Trust seems to be favoring a bureaucrat.
