Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), accused the Delhi Police on Monday of using excessive force against protesters during the party's "Sansad Chalo" march.
He alleged that female demonstrators were lathi-charged by male police officers. Dipke said that the movement would continue and claimed that the government was trying to suppress peaceful protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, despite Delhi Police's appeal for peace and requests to refrain from spreading false information.
Dipke Targets Centre Over Police Action
Reacting to the police intervention, Dipke sharply criticized the Centre, alleging that authorities had used force against peaceful protesters.
"This government was not satisfied after the deaths of 20 NEET students. Now they are determined to spill more blood. Police personnel have lathi-charged women protesters," he alleged.
Delhi Police Appeals for Peace
In response to the incident, Delhi Police urged demonstrators to maintain calm and cooperate with on-duty security personnel.
In a post on X, Delhi Police stated,
“The Delhi Police appeals to all protesters to exercise restraint and cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and law and order. All protesters are requested to demonstrate peacefully. They should refrain from engaging in any illegal or violent activities and follow the lawful instructions given by the police on duty.”
