BJP MLA Kailash Gehlot’s Daughter Devina Gehlot Tops CUET-UG, Secures AIR 1

BJP MLA Kailash Gehlot's daughter Devina Gehlot became the CUET-UG All India Rank 1 Holder. She scored 100 percentiles in three out of five subjects. CUET-UG exams were held from 11 May to 31 May and a total of 1.64 lakh students appeared for the exam. The results were released by the NTA on Tuesday. Devina also scored 99.2% in her 12th grade.

Devina tops CUET-UG

On securing the All India Rank 1, Devina said,

"I can't believe I topped the All India Ranking. I had to check my application number again and again because I couldn't believe it. I had done well in my exams and was confident I would get a good college, but I had no hope of getting an All India Rank."

Family behind her success

Devina credited her school, Delhi Public School (DPS) Vasant Kunj and her family for her success. Praising the support she received from her family, she said, 

"They never pressured me about anything, and that's probably the biggest reason I topped the exam."

Regarding her future plans, she said, I might pursue English Honours or maybe Journalism, but nothing is certain yet.

Political Interest 

Speaking to the media, when asked about politics, she said that she has been watching her father in politics since childhood, and his work inspires her to help people. She added that if she gets the opportunity, she would definitely like to pursue a career in politics.

“Devina topped the exam at the national level, which makes us very proud. She has worked very hard, which has led to this success.”
