Kerala Reports Highest Toll, Elderly Most At Risk
This year, Kerala is seeing the issue of having more than 7,400 flu patients and 88 deaths in total. The majority of deaths have occurred among those who are above the age of 50. Doctors suggest giving the flu vaccine to older people to avoid death and hospitalization. In this connection, pediatricians who are practicing in urban areas suggest parents take their kids to be tested within 24-48 hours from the time when they get symptoms because the flu medicines become more effective at an early stage.
