The biggest rule, which is scheduled to come into effect from August 1, is expected to bring major changes for tourists visiting Nainital.
To ensure smooth traffic movement around Nainital Lake, authorities have decided that parking will not be allowed on the stretch between Tallital Daat and Hanumangarhi Band from August 1. No government or private vehicle operating on the highways without a valid fitness certificate will be permitted by the Transport Department and Police Department.
Honking will be prohibited
Legal action will be initiated, and such vehicles will be seized immediately.
According to local road safety authorities, honking will be prohibited on Nainital's famous Mall Road starting August 1. Strict penalties (Rs 1000) and legal action will follow any violation of this directive.
