Union Health Minister JP Nadda was admitted to AIIMS Delhi following his uneasiness complaints, AIIMS said on Friday. After admission on Thursday night on 13th August, JP Nadda underwent coronary angiography. He is stable and currently admitted for observation in AIIMS Department of Cardiology.
“Union Health Minister JP Nadda has been observed for uneasiness, through a series of tests including a coronary angiography on 13th August 2026. He is currently stable and admitted for observation in Dept of Cardiology, AIIMS”, said AIIMS in its official release about his health condition.
The statement revealed that Nadda was examined for any symptoms of anxiety through coronary angiography on the night of 13th August.
He continues to be under observation in the cardiology department of AIIMS Delhi.
JP Nadda, who originally comes from Himachal Pradesh, was born on 2nd December, 1960, in Patna, Bihar. He pursued his B.A. from Patna University and then graduated in LLB from Himachal Pradesh University.
At the time of his youth, Nadda had been actively involved in all movements organized by Jai Prakash Narayan. He had also been working with ABVP and in 1989, he was elected as the National Secretary of the organization.
In 1991, Nadda was appointed as the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. In 1993, he was elected as MLA for the first time in Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and he became the Leader of Opposition.
He won re-election in 1998 and served as the Health Minister of the BJP state government. In 2010, he was appointed as the National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. He first joined Rajya Sabha as a member in 2012.
Nadda assumed responsibility as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from 2014 till 2019.
In June 2019, he was chosen as the National Working President of Bharatiya Janata Party. In January 2020, he assumed the position as the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party.
